Cannes Free Walking Tour Program
Content
Join our Cannes Free Walking Tour along with an experienced and fun guide to discover this incredible city! Certainly one of the most famous towns in France after Paris, Cannes is also one of the world’s busiest destination for tourism and congress specially due to its International Cannes Film Festival!
Being Beverly Hills’ twin sister, Cannes is the perfect symbol of glitz and glamour with its movie stars and luxury shopping! But it’s actually more than that, on your Cannes Walking Tour you will discover Cannes’ Old Town and its mysteries.
Walking along with a trusted local expert, you’ll see all the key attractions as the local market in Forville, the Suquet hill, the Palais des Festivals, the Croisette Promenade and many more… but also hear the best stories and fun facts about the town and the Film Festival!
A museum on the history of cinema is getting built and will be opening in 2028.
Despite being a very old city, Cannes has been destroyed and rebuilt along the years and don’t feel as old as Antibes (next door) can be. It’s definitely a town that has seen the English monarchy build hotels and villas from the 18th century onwards, new investors are consistently reshaping the hills of Cannes to keep the glitz alive.
On the others side, a few buildings are still up for way before including the “Fort Royal” on the Lerins Islands just accross where the “Man with the iron mask” have been staying in jail for many years. The legend says that his soul is still around…
After a wonderful wander around town, you could make the most of your day and take a ferry to visit the islands and enjoy the “carribean waters” in between them or you can just enjoy the 8kms of white sandy beach in style!

Tip Based Only
A “Free” Walking Tour is a worldwide concept in itself which stands for tip-based tour. You are “free” to join and, at the end of the tour, you will judge how your experience went and tip the guide accordingly. Our guides are not supported by the council and they are making a living out of sharing their love for our town and our region so we hope you value their work in relation to the service they deliver and the devotion they put into it. As opposed to big cities with very large groups, we limit our group to a maximum of 20 people to deliver a much better service as well as a personal touch adding value to your experience.
Booking
As we are operating in small cities, we kindly ask everyone to book a spot online. It’s now mandatory due to organization process. Thanks for your understanding.
Cancellation
As we are a small tour company in a small city and we don’t charge any fees for booking your tour, we would really appreciate if you can let us know the day before or even in the morning if you can’t join for any reasons. In other words, not only we are not making others wait for you but also the guide will be able to organize himself accordingly. Thanks for your understanding and respect.
