Tours
How does the Free Walking Tour work?
A Free Walking Tour is a Tip-Based walking tour. So when you book, you don’t have any upfront payment to do. At the end of the tour, you are welcome to leave a tip that you feel comfortable with in relation to the quality of the tour that has been delivered by your guide. Keep in mind that our guides are not getting anything from our council and are making a living from your appreciation.
I don’t have cash on me. Can I tip by card?
If you don’t have any cash, our guides can accept payment via credit card through our terminals, QR Code or payment link.
There are no more spots available. Can I still join a Tour?
We really encourage you to join our waiting-list, available on our booking platform. As soon as someone cancels its presence, you’ll have the next spot available according to your position in the waiting list. If you are also planning to come on a particular day or time and no tours are available, feel free to join the waiting list for this day and time and we will get back to you if we can organize a tour with others or we can contact you to offer you a private one instead.
Where can I find the photo from the tour?
Our visitors always appreciate receiving the photos taken on the tour. That’s why we have been adding to our reviewing email a link to our Google Drive folder where you can access the photo of the tour you have been on. This way, you can download this photo on a high resolution and keep it as a precious souvenir. This link is private so please avoid sharing it publicly.
Where is the meeting point for the Free Walking Tours?
In Antibes, it’s right here. In Cannes, right there!
How can I recognize my guide?
Your guide will have a bright red t-shirt labeled “WhatToDoRiviera” and/or a red hat as well as a big large smile 🙂
At what time should we meet for my tour?
In your confirmation email, you received the starting time of the tour you are joining in but we always invite travelers to arrive 5-10min earlier to have the time to meet and greet.
I can't find a Tour that fits my schedule. What should I do?
If you don’t find a time slot that fits your travel plans, let us know by joining a waiting list through our booking system for the tour you would like to join or feel free to email us directly at [email protected] or via Whatsapp (+33781223750). It will be our pleasure to find a way to accommodate you.
How long are the tours in general?
Between 2 to 2,5 hours for the walking tours, 3h for the tasting and e-bike as well as the croissant making class. Others tours can last longer depending on what is involved but you will surely be informed of the time allowance.
Are the tours stroller-friendly?
In Antibes, the roads we take are pretty flat. Even though we go to the old-town with cobbled streets, it is mainly suited for everybody. There’s a couple of stairs to go through but they can either we avoided by going around or we will be happy to help if needed.
In Cannes, we climb the hill up to the castle. Many parents have done it already, but it’s a little challenging! Then, going all the way down is an easy thing afterwards. There’s only 1 set of stairs to go through and we are happy to help if needed.
What transportation can I use to go to the meeting points?
To reach Antibes, Cannes or any cities on the coast, we do recommend using the trains as it is the best way to get around but you can also come by bus, car or taxi. For each tour, we provide a lot of information and tips on how to reach the meeting point with any transportation.
Here’s how to reach Antibes, and here’s how to reach Cannes.
Is there a dress code to visit specific religious places?
In Antibes and Cannes, neither of the cathedrals we visit in each city require special dressing.
I’m late for my tour. What can I do?
Please, directly contact your tour guide (his/her contact details are in the confirmation email or the reminder you received). You can now let him/her know that you’ll be late, so he/she can either wait a little, or just share location via Whatsapp, so you can catch up wherever they are whenever you arrive.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No you don’t! Aligned with our values, we prefer to save the planet and not print anything. You can either just show it from your phone, or give your name to your tour guide.
You still don't find your answer?
You can directly contact your tour guide (his/her info are in the confirmation email) OR you can contact us through email at [email protected] or send us a message on Whatsapp at +33781223750. We will be back to you as soon as we can.
